The search approach

Personal Consultant
Assignments are handled by your search consultant who spends the time to understand your requirements, agrees a list of target companies and positions and prepares a briefing document.
Approach

Research
begins with development of working data on the client organisation’s industry, business philosophy and growth goals. Appropriate executives in the client company are interviewed in order to develop a position specification describing the basic responsibilities, reporting relationships, required education and experience, and to learn more about the personalities involved. This specification then becomes the guideline for the search. Strategic research is conducted to identify sources and areas that are likely to produce candidates.

Contact
involves talking directly with sources and individuals who meet the position specification and possess established patterns of accomplishment and success in positions which closely approximate the position to be filled. The process is designed to yield several potential candidates with the high profiles of excellence the client seeks. Approximately one month after the search has commenced, written reports profiling all interested candidates are reviewed with the client company at the first progress meeting.

Evaluation
begins as soon as a potential candidate is located who possesses the required experience and interest. Following initial telephone qualification, face to face interviews are conducted to illustrate complete portraits of the candidates, their accomplishments, abilities and strengths. In conducting reference checks, we make direct inquiries with people who comment objectively about each candidate’s performance on the job. As the process draws to a conclusion, we remain available for direct involvement in the crucial negotiations that follow with the final candidate, and to provide further assistance.

Objective Assessment
can be developed on client’s request for some special position, after having selected one or two candidates who match the requirements. We have access to a methodology for Occupational Personality and Motivation Questionnaires which provide valuable additional information about a wide range of relevant personality characteristics and the strength and direction of an individual’s motivation.
